It is with great sadness that we remember our EA5RM team leader Antonio González, who died on December 9, 2024.
We and the entire amateur radio world have lost a great person: CQ DX Hall of Fame, 2015 ARRL International Humanitarian, 2018 Intrepid Humanitarian Award, E.T. Krenkel Medal #47, DXCC Top Honor Roll Phone - Honor Roll CW - Honor Roll RTTY/Digital, 9BWAS, Satellite DXCC, Mérite du Clipperton DX Club are some of its awards and accolades. Tony was an active and tireless dxpeditioner and together with him the DXfriends have activated many countries and it would be long to list them all, but you see them here on our site. Even in solitary activities, Tony has made many dxpeditions and humanitarian expeditions in Bolivia. Even though Tony won’t be in the DXFriends dxpeditions anymore, he will always be wherever we go, deep in our hearts. By common agreement and also to always remember our team leader EA5RM, the members of DXFriends have decided to continue the activity in the coming years, always with new dxpeditions The DXfriends team. |
